The extreme heat continues to take a toll on Winnipeg's roadways, with a stretch of a major road being closed Saturday evening.
The Winnipeg Police Service says that eastbound Bishop Grandin is closed completely, including the shoulder, at Waverley.
The WPS says that the road has heaved in the extreme heat.

A part of Chief Peguis Trail also fell victim to the heat earlier on the weekend. The westbound median lane of Chief Peguis is expected to be closed until Wednesday, June 9, while repairs take place.
Motorists also reported similar issues at Panet and Nairn, as well as on the North and East Perimeter Highway between Gunn Rd. and Wenzel St.
