The Winnipeg Police Service is hoping for the return of an important item that an officer lost while on duty.

Police say a gun magazine filled with ammunition is lost somewhere in the city.

While on duty, an officer's magazine became dislodged from its holder.

Police say is it black and contains 15 rounds.

The WPS says they are working to locate the missing magazine.
 
If found, the magazine can be turned into any police station or by calling 204-986-6222.
