This weekend in Winnipeg the NextGen Worship Centre will be getting loud with praise and hope as people gather together to praise God.

Toluwalope Dare is one of the ordained ministers at NextGen Worship Centre.

"Our event is titled Global Faith Summit," says Dare. "It starts today, Friday, September 23, and it goes tomorrow and also on Sunday."

The event is an open invitation to Christians and non-believers alike to come and see what God is doing in the community, according to Dare.

"The theme for this year's event is, faith to conquer. The major purpose of the event is to win souls. We want to put out hope to people after COVID-times and inflation-times."

While this is the first Global Faith Summit by NextGen Worship Centre, staff hope it will be an annual event.

"Friday and Saturday is in the evening at 6:00 p.m. and it's going to be filled with worship, the word, and wonders."

On Sunday, the church will have its regular morning service to end the Global Faith Summit starting at 10:00 a.m.

"We're letting people know that God is alive, God still reigns. There is hope out there, there is joy, have faith to conquer, no matter what is going on in the world today."
