Newsboys releasing 20th studio album

With the help of the pandemic and a lot of downtown to write and record songs, the famous Newsboys is thrilled to release their latest album, STAND.

"STAND is available right now wherever you listen to music! We can’t believe this project is finally out in the world and we are so excited for these songs to impact YOUR lives the way they have impacted ours!" says the band on Facebook the day of the release.

The album's title track was released the same day as the CCM film recently released, The Jesus Music, which was October 1, 2021. Newsboys have a role, along with many other CCM bands in the film and discuss the origins of Christian music as we know it today.

"I spent a year or so at home thinking about the kind of music I wanted to make, writing songs, and working in the studio on the project that eventually became STAND. I knew that we wanted to create a record that spoke to the season we were all walking through, and we did exactly that," says lead singer Michael Tait in an interview with The Christian Beat.

The lyric video shows clips from the movie, including artists like Amy Grant, Kirk Franklin, and Michael W. Smith to name a few.
