Dr. Brent Roussin and Premier Brian Pallister are expected to announce new public health orders early Monday afternoon.

Over 500 new cases of COVID-19 were announced over the weekend. That brought the total of active cases to 2,024 in Manitoba and a test positivity rate of 7.1 per cent.

There were 115 recoveries reported on Saturday and 126 reported on Sunday for a total recovery count of 34,607.

The premier said last week that officials were looking at a variety of factors such as physical and mental health before making decisions on more health orders as Manitoba enters a third wave.

Pallister and Roussin will speak from the Legislative Building at 12:30 p.m.
