Nearly 4,500 were in attendance at the eighth annual Impact For The Kingdom demolition derby.

The Morris Manitoba Stampede and Exhibition Grounds was this year's venue for smashing good fun in support of Adult and Teen Challenge of Central Canada (ATC).

Drivers won cash prizes while spectators visited vendors of all types, enjoyed food and cheered on the drivers.

Daniel Emond from ATC says, "We had a miraculous turnout. The most people we have ever had a Teen Challenge single event ever."

Emond says that while not as many minivans were sponsored as they had hoped, he expects the increased attendance to cover some of those costs.

"Just to see the amount of people come out, support, and hear the testimonies and the message of Adult & Teen Challenge - to hear almost 4,000 counting down and cheering on our drivers - it was really impactful. It was really amazing," says Emond.

"It was just a 'Thank you God,' kind of moment"

Emond says, "This is exactly what we dreamed of is getting a big audience to hear what and how God transforms peoples' lives."

The next event in support of Adult & Teen Challenge is their ATV Ride for Hope on Saturday, September 28 in Woodridge, Manitoba.

Emond says they already have over 100 early registrations.
