Authorities say a delivery driver was assaulted and robbed of his vehicle while making a delivery on Sunday.

On Sunday night, a man making a medical marijuana delivery was approached and assaulted in the area of Balmoral Street and Spence Street. The victim was also robbed of his keys, and the vehicle he was driving.

At 10:07 p.m. police arrived to the area of the report.

The Winnipeg Police Service says the stolen vehicle fled, driving at high speeds in an erratic manner. 

Authorities then used the WPS helicopter, AIR1, to locate the vehicle. A 27-year-old woman was arrested at the scene.

The 27-year-old is being charged with:

  • Robbery
  • Flight While Pursued by Officer
  • Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance
  • Fail to Comply with Release Order (x2)
  • Fail to Comply with Undertaking
  • Drive without a license or with an invalid license

The Major Crimes Unit is now investigating.
