As Manitoba reports its latest COVID-19-related death, officials share that over 600 people have recovered.

Another COVID-19 related death in Manitoba is bringing the province's total fatalities due to COVID-19 to 13.

Public health officials reported Tuesday the latest death is a woman in her 90s from the Steinbach health district in the Southern Health-Santé Sud region. It was a previously announced case connected to a known outbreak at Bethesda Place.

As well, 25 new cases of COVID-19 are being reported Tuesday in Manitoba. This brings the province's total lab-confirmed cases to 1,018. The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 2.7 per cent.

Of the 25 cases, there were 10 in the Prairie Mountain Health region; 9 in Southern Health-Santé Sud; and 6 in the Winnipeg health region. Case investigations are ongoing.

The latest data indicates there are 7 current hospitalizations in Manitoba, with 1 individual in intensive care; 399 active cases and 606 individuals have recovered from COVID-19, and the number of deaths due to COVID-19 is now 13.

An additional 1,428 lab tests were completed on Monday, bringing the total number of tests completed in Manitoba since early February to 128,576.
