The guitarist in Manic Drive recently faced a big health scare, just after releasing their newest song, 'Thank God I'm Alive'.

Michael Cavallo posted about this health scare on Facebook, September 29, saying, "This past Saturday morning, my body had succumbed to illness, causing a serious case of Jaundice (yellowing of the skin). My family rushed me to the ER to see what was contributing to my illness."

As the doctor came into the room after Cavallo was diagnosed, he listed concerning outcomes.

"I was beginning to fear the worst. Even though, for the most part, I took pride in my health and was "fairly" disciplined in exercise and what I ate, finding out that I can still fall to sickness was humbling and scary," says Cavallo.

He and his brother Shawn Cavallo started Manic Drive, a Christian rock band, back in 2004 out of Toronto.

"As I sat there waiting, my body tensely pressed against the hard plastic of the chair, you start reflecting and realizing how fragile life is."

It turns out Cavallo had many stones in his gallbladder, which blocked any nutrients from getting to his kidneys and liver. According to his post, it's the best news you can receive in this type of scenario.

"Relieved, I got a little emotional because, at the end of the day, you never know when we could see our end. At least in this life."

Cavallo was admitted to the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Ont. and was very grateful to the staff.

"I would be more than happy to make you capes, however, not sure if they are the most practical, but at least you would look awesome," says Cavallo. "Seriously though, from the bottom of my heart and soul, thank you for everything you do!"

While he's not finished with medical procedures to fully take care of the stones, he's back at home as of yesterday.

Cavallo ends the post with their latest song title earnestly saying 'Thank God I'm Alive'.

Hi friends, Michael here with a story to share. We've been a bit quiet on social media for the past couple of days due...
