A 30-year-old is facing 16 Break and Enter changes after what police say was a month of over a dozen break-ins.

Restaurants, gas bars and convenience stores were robbed over the course of one month, starting on April 6. Authorities say a 30-year-old man is a suspect in the break-ins amounting to $38,000 in cash and goods being stolen and $13,000 worth of damage.

"The Winnipeg Police Service Major Crimes Unit, with the assistance of General Patrol officers, undertook an extensive investigation linking the same suspect to these offences," the Winnipeg Police Service says in a statement.

On Friday, the suspect was located by police in the area of Government Avenue and Gateway Road. Authorities say he was found at around 5 a.m. inside a stolen vehicle. Officers recognize the suspect and taking him into custody that morning.
