Scribe (a.k.a. Troy Lydiate) says that he and his wife were thrilled to welcome Ariyah Maxine Lydiate at 3:09 a.m. on January 1.

He says that "the baby is strong and healthy, already sleeping during the day and up at night as babies do."

"I want her to be a world changer in her community"

Originally the due date was January 1 but then was changed to December 26 and then eventually December 27.

Little Ariyah would show doctors they had it right the first time, arriving just two and a half hours after Manitoba's New Year's baby.

Scribe, who was born in Jamaica and adopted by Canadian parents says, "My greatest hope is that she would learn to think critically, and affectionately. When the time is right [I want her to] come into the knowledge of knowing Jesus for herself. I want her to be a world changer in her community, be it local or abroad."
