The Child Of Ours is a Winnipeg made film made to raise awareness about the missing and murdered Indigenous women in Canada.

The premiere March 30 was met with a packed house that filled every seat in the house. Featuring local actors, the story shows a young family and the raising of their daughter until her unexplainable disappearance at the age of 18.

"I felt like it was so unresolved until I realised that was the point. That is what it would feel like." One guest described.

"This movie you're about to watch, it's purpose is not to make you cry. Its purpose is to show what the news doesn't say... What the posters can't tell... These women are more than just a face, and that is what the purpose is here tonight. I hope that you leave with a little more perspective..." Director Jessie Moar explained, "I think that it's important that when you do see these missing posters, to know that they are more than a face and just to, you know, pray for them."
