Seven-time Grammy winner Carrie Underwood has debuted one of the songs set to be on her upcoming gospel album.

Underwood also recently released the tracklist for the album, My Savior, The Christian Beat reports.

"This is an album I have always wanted to record. When I set out to choose these songs, I wanted to include the beautiful, familiar hymns I grew up singing in church," Underwood says.

The album will consist of traditional gospel hymns that have been significant to Underwood throughout her life. Duets with CeCe Winans and NEEDTOBREATHE frontman Bear Rinehart will also be featured on the album.

Underwood's performance of "Softly and Tenderly," track 12 of 13, can now be heard online ahead of the album's release.

"There are several songs I have performed in the past, like ‘Softly And Tenderly’, ‘How Great Thou Art’ and ‘Amazing Grace’ that mean so much to me and I knew immediately we needed to record for the album," Underwood says.

Underwood first performed the hymn during an In Memoriam tribute during the 51st annual CMA awards telecast in 2017, which she hosted with Brad Paisley.

"This music shaped who I am as a person and is the foundation of my career as a recording artist," Underwood explains. "I feel so blessed to get to share these songs with generations of people who love them as I do, as well as others who might be experiencing them for the first time."

My Savior was co-produced and arranged by Underwood and fellow Grammy award winner David Garcia.
