Worship leaders, artists, and Christian creatives are in store for a "special opportunity" at the Levite Summit this year, says Hear the Ministries Executive Director Jon Buller.

The Levite Summit is coming to Winnipeg for the first time. It is a worship, arts, and leadership conference for Levites. "Biblically, Levites were temple servants that could be anything from a custodian to a musician. Modern-day Levites are creative people," Buller says.

The Director believes that the Summit will provide an opportunity for training and equipping those who lead creative aspects in ministry. "A lot of those people are pouring out and they need to be served too. You have to invest in the gifts you've been given and they need a bit of ministry and care to get inspired," says Buller.

There are two other Levite Summits put on each year by Hear the Music Ministries, one in Red Deer, AB, and one in Vernon, BC. "We are so excited to come to Winnipeg," Buller says.

"We will learn together, encourage, and inspire each other."

"Winnipeg is my hometown, I have a lot of love for it. Who I am is largely because of the people that poured into me. The Levite Summit is a really special opportunity for me to pour back into and contribute to the culture and the community," Buller says.

The summit will be hosting a worship service called Hear the Music Night on the Saturday of the conference open to the public.

The conference is taking place at Grant Memorial Church on November 6-7, 2020 with keynote speaker Darrell Johnson and various workshop sessions.

"We will learn together, encourage, and inspire each other," Buller says.
