Registration opens for the Winnipeg Leisure Guide opens today at 8:00 a.m., including swimming and skating lessons.

For those living outside of the perimeter, registration opens Thursday, March 23 at 8:00 a.m.

People signing up for activities have three options when registering, including online, by phone, or in person at the Cindy Klassen Recreation Centre from 8:00 a.m until noon on Tuesday.

Parents have many options when it comes to signing their children up for activities. These include pre-school activities, sports, dance, music, and creative arts.

The leisure guide also offers programs for youth, such as the babysitter's course, sports, arts, and summer camps in Winnipeg.

There are activities for people of every age or capability, including some offered in French.

For the swimming lessons, the city of Winnipeg has switched over to the Lifesaving Society’s Swim for Life programs. They will continue to offer Red Cross First Aid and CPR courses.

People unsure of their next level for swimming lessons with the new guide can contact 311.
