It's hard to avoid conflict in your marriage, but it's possible to handle conflict effectively and in a way that continues to strengthen your marriage.

Want to learn how to create a great relationship? Make your good relationship great? Do you need help in your struggling relationship? Join Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott for an evening of relationship strategies.

"It's a really fun date night experience for couples," says Dr. Les Parrott. "It's not your traditional marriage seminar."

There will be two 'rounds' during the simulcast. Round one talks about why we fight with the person we love. Round two is about how we should fight with the person we love. The Parrott's believe that knowing how to fight properly can increase intimacy.

"In less than seven minutes out of your week, you can make the level of tension drop dramatically and the level of intimacy increase dramatically," Dr. Parrott said about one of the exercises you will learn during the night.

Dr. Parrott says that empathy is the key to fighting the good fight. "I wish we could box it up," he said. "When you leave, take this box of empathy home because it will change everything."

Fight Night will take place this Friday from 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. at Mary, Mother of the Church (85 Kirkbridge Dr.). The event is for everyone - singles, dating and engaged couples, newlyweds and 'oldyweds'. Tickets are $10/person or $15/couple at the door.
