As of this week, artist Lauren Daigle is celebrating 100 weeks as number one on Billboard's Hot Christian Songs chart.
In a recent Facebook post, Daigle says, "To be a part of a song that has not only made history but has lived inside the homes of families raising babies, widows needing comfort, teenagers needing a friend, those who have lost and those who have gained, that is a gift I’ll never fully put into words."
The song that has stayed in the top spot is "You Say". Her lyrics emit a strong focus on identity in Christ.
The artist celebrated this milestone by calling her family. She says, "We laughed. We cried. We made jokes. We celebrated."
Daigle has only been on the Christian music scene since 2015 with her debut album How Can it Be.
"I may sing and write, but there are many people working behind the scenes. My sincere gratitude goes out to them," she says.
"When I was a little girl, I would dream of moments like this."
