The Winnipeg Humane Society (WHS) is offering free adoption for their cats in "Kitty-cat Way" rooms A, B, and C.

Kyle Jahns, the WHS' Communication Coordinator, says there are a lot of great cats available. "If they are six months, or older, their adoption fees have been waved."

The rooms are currently full, so the WHS is hoping the right people will come forward to offer forever homes, in order to free up space for other cats.

While at the Humane Society these cats receive regular "cuddle time" from designated volunteers, and are often held in the shelter anywhere from 1 day to several months, but the average is about two weeks before they are adopted.

The Winnipeg Humane Society is the oldest animal shelter and welfare organization in Manitoba and their mission is "to protect animals from suffering and to promote their welfare and dignity."

They are located at 45 Hurst Way and are open from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm weekdays, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturdays and 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sundays.
