Kanye West is expected to speak in an interview this weekend during a visit to Joel Osteen's megachurch in Houston, Texas.

West is expected to discuss the impact that faith and his belief in Christ have had on his life in recent weeks in front of 17,000 attendees, reports TMZ.

The discussion is expected to last around 30 minutes at Osteen's Lakewood Church.

Details on the event at this time remain largely confidential, though West is not expected to perform during the service. It has also been reported that tickets are required for the event, available at no cost to the first 45,000 individuals.

Particularly since the release of his most recent album, Jesus Is King, West has been making headlines for his faith. The album, which has been labelled a worship album by many, has dominated Christian music charts, including the top 10 spots on two of Billboard's charts - Hot Christian Songs and Hot Gospel Songs.

Jesus Is King has become West's ninth consecutive number-one album and has spent time at the top of the Billboard 200 chart.

West has also made his political aspirations, expressing last weekend that he has plans to campaign for President of the United States in 2024 and receiving significant criticism for his own political views.

On Instagram, Pastor Jamal Harrison Bryant of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church (NBMBC), where West performed a Sunday service in September, criticized West's politics. Bryant, however, praised West's recent album.

“The message after the music is just as important," Bryant wrote online.

After appearing at NBMBC, West was reported to have made a significant donation to the church.
