The Winnipeg Jets four-game win streak came to an end Monday night at Bell MTS Place.

Thatcher Demko made 27 saves for his first career shutout as the Vancouver Canucks defeated Winnipeg 4-0.

The Jets had scored at least one goal in their previous 45 games.

The Canucks jumped out to a 3-0 first period lead and never looked back.

Nate Schmidt and J.T. Miller scored 18 seconds apart and Nils Hoglander potted a power play goal at 14:50 of the opening frame.

Elias Pettersson added an empty net goal at 16:26 of the third period.

Winnipeg goaltender Connor Hellebuyck made 15 saves.

The Jets (13-7-1) and Canucks meet again tonight at Bell MTS Place.

Winnipeg will then embark on a five-game road trip.

The Jets meet the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday and Saturday and then face the Toronto Maple Leafs three times next week.
