Several people have been taken to hospital after an early morning vehicle collision.

Update (9:00 a.m.): The City of Winnipeg's Traffic Management Centre says in a tweet that Goulet and Traverse are expected to remain closed for the duration of the day. Police are continuing to investigate the collision.

Goulet is closed from west of Braemar Avenue to Kenny Street. Traverse is closed between Thomas Berry Street and Marion Street.

The TMC is asking people to avoid the area.
