A brand of frozen chicken strips is being recalled due to allergy concerns.

Gluten-free PC Chicken Strips are being taken off of the shelves after customer complaints. The gluten-free strips were discovered to contain gluten and/or wheat.

"If you have an allergy to wheat, or have celiac disease or other gluten-related disorders, do not consume the recalled product as it may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction," the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) says.

CFIA says that reactions to the product have occurred. They say the recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the same store where they were purchased.

The Best Before Date on the box is April 20, 2021.
