Property owners are being cautioned about strong winds lasting all day.

The south basin of Lake Manitoba, including shorelines near Gimli on the west, and Victoria Beach on the east side of Lake Winnipeg all could experience very strong winds, according to the Province of Manitoba's Infrastructure’s Hydrologic Forecast Centre.

They say the high north winds could gust to 75 km/hour, raising waves to as much as five feet high. They predict this could last until early Wednesday morning and are asking property owners to take precautions.
