It wasn't much, but it was enough to make some people groan, and others celebrate.

Snowfall began in the early morning hours of Saturday. In total, Winnipeg received 2.5 cm of snow.

Other areas of Manitoba had up to 5 cm of snow, while others had a mix of rain and snow.

For those that don't enjoy the white stuff there is in fact reason to celebrate, however. Most of the snow has already melted, and we'll experience a bit of a warming trend the next few days.

The long range forecast includes sunshine on Monday, and currently a forecasted high of 15. Later in the week it's possible highs could reach nearly 20 degrees.

It could be the last chance to get out and enjoy such high temperatures before winter really begins to move in.
