It was a busy Monday for Winnipeg fire crews as they battled three fires within an hour.

The first fire broke out around 1:36 p.m. in a three-storey apartment building in the 600 block of Panet Road.

A fire was located on the roof and quickly extinguished.

Residents were able to stay in the building while crews put the fire out, and no injuries were reported.

Meanwhile, not even ten minutes later, crews responded to a one-and-a-half-storey, single-family home in the 200 block of Ravelston Avenue West.

Heavy smoke was pouring out of the house when crews arrived. Firefighters were able to enter the home and fight the fire from inside.

Everyone was able to evacuate the home safely. Three people were assessed at the scene but did not require a trip to the hospital.

Both fires are believed to be accidental, caused by an electrical malfunction.

The last fire happened just after 2:30 p.m. in a single-family bungalow in the 0 to 100 block of Worthington Avenue.

Smoke was coming from the home when crews arrived at the scene. They entered and quickly worked to extinguish the fire.

One person was taken to hospital in unstable condition.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
