Selkirk RCMP are still searching for a missing farmer but were able to find his vehicle. 

Vernon Karl Otto, a farmer near Stead, Manitoba, was last seen on May 29, 2018. Otto, 66, was operating his vehicle on one of his fields.

His vehicle, a 2005 White Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Extended Cab with grey decals on the box, has been found a short distance from his residence. The pickup truck was burnt.

The RCMP consider Otto's disappearance suspicious.

On May 30, 2018, at 12:40 pm, the Selkirk RCMP received a report of a missing 66-year-old male from the RM of St. Clements.

Vernon Karl Otto was last seen on May 29 at 1:00 pm working in his field near his residence located near Stead, MB.

Otto is described as Caucasian, 6’2”, 200 pounds, blue eyes, and gray balding hair.

He was last seen wearing black jeans, a gold watch and black casual shoes.
