The mother of a young woman who was tragically slain while out for a jog is giving Jesus all the glory for helping them get through this unimaginable loss.

Last month, Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student in Georgia was found dead after going for a jog on campus.

Riley's mother, Allyson Phillips took to social media to thank friends, family and total strangers for their support after her daughter's death. “As I sat down to write this message, I really just have no words. My family has faced the most devastating, unimaginable loss that anyone could ever be forced to endure,” Phillips wrote.

"I would like to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for being with me and my family during this heartbreaking time. I encourage everyone to have a personal relationship with Jesus. I give Him all the glory for getting us through this."

Phillips continued to say how it would be easy to lose faith in mankind because of the tragedy but has been overwhelmed with the amount of love and support her family has gotten following Riley's death.
