Extreme wind chills near -40 are expected for much of southern Manitoba once again Tuesday morning.

Environment Canada has continued an Extreme Cold Warning for much of southern Manitoba.

EC says that wind chill values should moderate by noon.

At 5:30 a.m. the wind chill at the Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport was -41.

While wind chills will moderate today, daytime highs over the next week are still expected to be well below the average daytime high of -6.

Manitoba RCMP have embraced the cold.

Officers in Snow Lake, Manitoba, took advantage of the cold temperatures to try some science experiments on their coffee break.
