Manitoba is starting a new work week with some extreme cold.
Southern Manitoba remains under an extreme cold warning that was issued yesterday. Wind chill values have hovered near -40°C throughout the night and into the morning.
Dangerous temperatures are expected to leave later this morning and temperatures are expected to climb throughout the week to a possible high of 0°C on Wednesday.
Environment Canada is warning people that "if it's too cold for you to stay outside, it's too cold for your pet to stay outside."
