Premier Brian Pallister is appointing Kymberly Kaufmann to one of the senior roles in the province's newest ministry.

Kymberly Kaufmann is the CEO of Eden Health Services and now Deputy Minister of mental health, wellness and recovery. She is being recognized for her efforts in the Southern Health Region and with the Selkirk Mental Health Centre. Kaufmann will be working under Minister Audrey Gordon. She takes on this role on  April 26.

Two others will be joining the ranks of senior officials in the provincial government.

“I am pleased that these experienced and talented individuals are taking on new roles with Manitoba’s public service,” Pallister says in a statement. “They bring deep knowledge and understanding of the issues associated with their portfolios, and are well-qualified to serve Manitobans.”

Effective today, the province's new (acting) comptroller-general is Andrea Saj, Saj is the executive director of public accounts with the Office of the Provincial Comptroller.

Ann Ulusoy will be serving as secretary to the treasury board along with her current role of comptroller-general.
