Two drivers are facing numerous charges and have had both their vehicles impounded after the Winnipeg Police Service says they were caught racing at reckless speeds within city limits.

The WPS says a Porsche and BMW were caught racing at 204 km/h on Bishop Grandin Blvd. near River Rd.

The speed limit in that area is 80 km/h.

Both drivers were charged with street racing and were served with serious offence notices.

A serious offence notice results in a license review with Manitoba Public Insurance.

Police did not release further details on the drivers.
