For one day only, enjoy hitting the pools with your furry best friend.

The City of Winnipeg is inviting dogs and their owners to close out the 2017 aquatic season together.

Licenced dogs can enjoy two different wading pools on Saturday, September 2 before they close for the season. Dogs and owners can wade at Happyland (520 Marion Street) and Bruce Park (1966 Portage Avenue).

Both pools are accepting dogs under 30 pounds from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and dogs over 30 pounds from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. All dogs must be licenced. Contact 311 to register.

City of Winnipeg spray pads will stay open until September 4, while non-heated outdoor pools will close on Friday, September 1. Pools remaining open until September 4 include:

  • Westdale
  • Freight House
  • St. Vital
  • Transcona Kinsmen Centennial
