A rally for climate change tomorrow is anticipating large participant numbers.

Winnipeg Police Services (WPS) are advising the public, large numbers participants are anticipated and students from schools throughout the city are planning to attend the Global Climate Strike in Winnipeg.

The rally is planned to start at 12 p.m. on the grounds of the Manitoba where the march will begin eastbound on Broadway towards Main Street.

WPS says, "For the safety of all concerned, the Winnipeg Police Service will be present in the area and conducting traffic management. Expect traffic flows to be altered on Broadway between Memorial Boulevard and Main Street as well as adjacent cross streets.

"Delays are to be expected throughout the afternoon. Winnipeg Transit will also have temporary reroutes in place, and advise transit users to check their schedule before travelling."
