If you have an unpaid parking ticket, Wednesday may be your last chance to pay it before the City of Winnipeg begins handing out penalties.

Starting October 1, the City says it will be assessing and collecting penalties and interest for late payments of some fines and fees. The City says parking tickets, water bills, ambulance bills, and others are subject to the penalties.

The City says is it offering assistance to some residents experiencing economic impacts due to COVID-19, stating that they are committed to offering assistance and flexibility. They are asking for those requiring assistance to contact the City.

Unpaid property and business taxes continue to be extended until November 30 without penalty.
