Hundreds of Christians from across the city came together on Saturday night to worship at a new event called ONE Worship Night.

The event was organized out of a desire to see more unity from within the Christian community in Winnipeg.

Richard Hale, who is the Worship Arts Pastor at Calvary Temple, helped organize the event and was encouraged by the turnout. "We weren't sure what would happen, but we knew that if even a few showed up it would be the start of something."

Hale and others organized the event in hopes that Christians from all denominations would begin to worship & serve together.

For many in attendance, there was excitement for what this could mean in the future. "For me, it was just so neat to know that we could just really truly come together as the church of Winnipeg, you know?" said Maria, one of the many in attendance. "This really can be the start of something so amazing in Winnipeg."

ONE Worship Nights will take place the last Saturday of every month at Calvary Temple.

Besides music, organizers hope to add other aspects of arts and worship as the event continues.
