A musical about a teen experiencing Bible camp for the first time is making its praise-worthy debut.

The star-studded film A Week Away follows a troubled teen, Will as played by Kevin Quinn, as he experiences the joys of Bible camp for the first time as he attempts to avoid juvenile detention.

The movie's trailer begins with Aweegaway's owner, played by David Koechner telling Will the camp's name comes from everyone being "a week away" from a life-changing experience.

Scoring first in Canada for top-watched films Monday, and third globally, the musical film has become a quick hit three days after its debut. Alan Powel, the film's writer and former member of Anthem Lights, shared his excitement on Instagram.

In true Bible-camp fashion, the film is filled with song, including music from FOR King & Country, Amy Grant, Steven Curtis Chapman, and Michael W. Smith. Their tunes are quickly taking top spots on iTunes, both on the Christian charts and all genre chart

"I have the biggest lump in my throat. It was so sweet," Amy grant says in a Twitter video. "They killed it. What fun."

Lead Bailee Madison, Will's love interest and daughter of Camp owner David, got her start in Bridges to Terabithia. "Place In This World," the musical number between Madison and Quinn is in the 55th spot on the iTunes Chart for top Christian songs, shortly followed by Quinn's "Best Thing Ever."

Rounding out the cast is appearances from Amy Grant, Sherri Shepherd, and Steven Curtis Chapman.
