Chrissy Metz's voice has caught the ear of more than just fans of her faith film; she is being signed to one of the largest country music labels in North America.

Universal Music Group Nashville signed Metz just after her song "I'm Standing with You" was announced for an Oscar.

"I'm Standing With You" singer performed the song at this year's American Country Music Awards with other women vocalists 

Metz will be in good company under the label. Stars such as Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Shania Twain are also signed with the company's several labels.

Her film, Breakthrough, has received various awards and is praised for sharing a miracle story, something uncommon in the mainstream film industry.

The singer is also known for her role in the television show This Is Us where she plays a struggling singer in a drama-filled family.
