A long-term health-care worker in Brandon, Manitoba has tested positive for COVID-19.
Provincial health officials say the case involves an employee at the Hillcrest Place personal care home.
They say that while the worker wore personal protective equipment and is self-isolating, the facility is implementing additional measures to further reduce the risk to residents and staff, including restricting visitation.
They say the risk remains low, but the protocols have been instituted out of an abundance of caution.
