The 5-year-old boy who survived being thrown from the Mall of America's third-floor balcony has just been released from intensive care.

While shopping with his mother and friends on April 12, Landen Hoffman was thrown over the balcony rail from the third floor by a 24-year-old, sustaining massive head trauma and fractures in his limbs.

In an update posted to the GoFundMe page for Landen Hoffman, his family shared that the boy has continued to make a miraculous recovery, CBN News reports.

"The Lord is good, and we are thankful. We are happy to report that our son is no longer in intensive care and has been moved to an inpatient, physical rehab program at another hospital to help him continue to heal and focus on the next phase of his recovery," the family shared online.

But Landen is not entirely out of the woods yet.

"There is hard work ahead! And, our beautiful boy has endured much already, but he is strong and his spirit remains vibrant," the Hoffman's wrote. "We continue to be eternally grateful for every prayer, every act of kindness and the love this world has show (sic) us throughout this journey."

$1,046,760 US has been raised by the family, who started with a goal of raising $1 million to cover Landen's health care costs.

The man responsible for Landen's injuries was reportedly sentenced to 19 years imprisonment in June. In response, the Hoffman's say that they have chosen to forgive the individual and will continue to pray for him.
