This Thursday, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers will honour men and women who have bravely served our country during their Military Appreciation Night.

Not only will the Bombers be taking on the undefeated Edmonton Eskimos, making for a significant game, they will also be taking the opportunity to commemorate those who have served and are still serving in the Canadian Armed Forces.

The night will feature a low double fly-pass of two CF-18's around kickoff, 450 members of the Canadian Armed Forces (including representatives from the Canadian Navy, Air Force, and Army) in attendance at the game with their families, and a portion of proceeds from all camouflage hats and t-shirts from the Bombers Store will be going towards the Support Our Troops fund.

"The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have always been really proud to support the Canadian Armed Forces," said Kristin Cuma, Community Relations Coordinator with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. "We just cannot say enough about the good work that the men and women who serve our country, and who have served our country in the past do for us, and this is a small thing that we can do to say thank you to those people and their families for all they've done for our country."

Additionally, a live band, The Treble, will be performing at half-time, and the Bomber's 50/50 draw will be starting at $100,000, with the winner taking home half of the total funds.
