Looking for a new bike?

Hundreds of bicycles will be auctioned off this weekend in Winnipeg.

Approximately 750 bikes will be available for purchase at the City's annual auction of unclaimed bicycles on Saturday and Sunday.

Again this year, the City of Winnipeg has partnered with the Winnipeg Repair Education and Cycling Hub (WRENCH) to offer 250 bikes that have been tuned up by volunteer mechanics, and are ready to ride!

Proceeds from the sale of these bikes go to support community bicycle programming in Winnipeg.

Public viewing gets underway at 7am this Saturday at Varsity View Sportsplex, with the auction starting at 9am. On Sunday viewing will begin at 10am, with the auction starting at noon.

One time bicycle registrations will be available on site at a cost of $6.20, per bicycle. Registering your bike will ensure that, should the city recover it, you will get it back with no additional charges.
