Ryan Rempel hates interruptions as much as the next person, but he took a chance and it ended up going an incredible opportunity.

Rempel was in the middle of work when he got a call asking him to move his car. Naturally, he was a little frustrated but reluctantly left to move his car.

When he arrived at his new parking spot, someone knocked on the window.

"(The man) asked me for a ride because he lost his apartment keys," Rempel explained, noting that he didn't really want to drive further away. "I've learned to realize that God sometimes takes these interruptions and turns them into huge opportunities."

So he invited the man, who introduced himself as Donald, to hop in the car and he drove him down to the office for a new set of keys.

The man offered to pay Rempel, but he turned down the money, saying it really wasn't that far away. Then Donald asked Rempel if he was a Christian. Rempel responded yes.

"And he just breaks down bawling and he said he was praying as he was looking for his keys that God would send him someone to talk to," Rempel said.

So they ended up talking during the ride there. Rempel learned that Donald had grown up in a Christian home, but had slid away from God. He was an addict, which is how he lost his keys. He thought God abandoned him. Rempel was able to pray with him and give him a Bible, something Donald had not had in a long time.

When they parted ways, Rempel connected Donald with a recovery program and a church in his area. He also gave Donald his number if he ever needed anything else.

"I'm so glad I had to move my car," Rempel chuckled. "I'm so glad I took the time to give him a ride.

"You never what God is going to do when you're open to opportunity."

Rempel says it's important to take those opportunities. He admits that, often, nothing comes out of the opportunities. But when it does, it always results in an amazing story.
