A serious hand injury investigation is leading the province to fine a southern-Manitoba manufacturer.
In 2017, an employee with Friesens Corporation suffered a serious injury to their hand.
On December 5, the employee was making adjustments to a Hobbs corner cutting machine. The laminated board-cutting machine's cutting blade came into contact with the employee's hand, resulting in serious injuries.
Workplace Safety and Health is fining the business $32,500.
