82 new cases of COVID-19 were identified in the province Saturday, marking the lowest single-day increase in cases since Oct. 19.

Public health officials advise four additional deaths in people with COVID-19 have been reported today including:

  • A male in his 40s from the Winnipeg health region.
  • A female in her 50s from the Northern health region.
  • A male in his 80s from the Winnipeg health region.
  • A female in her 90s from the Winnipeg health region.

The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 6% provincially. As of 9:30 a.m. Saturday, 82 new cases of the virus have been identified, bringing the total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba to 30,158.

Of those 82 new cases, one is in Hanover, one is in the Ste. Anne/La Broquerie Health District, and two are in the Niverville/Ritchot Health District.
