Authorities are searching for eyewitnesses after senior was attacked twice and was left alone on the ground for over two hours.

In the early hours of August 7, police say a 76-year-old woman was severely attacked in the 200 block of Pacific Avenue.

While walking, the 76-year-old was seriously assaulted by two individuals who left her suffering alone on the ground. After being alone for a short while the woman, who was still on the ground due to the previous assault, was approached by the same two suspects who assaulted her for a second time.

The senior spent approximately two-and-a-half hours alone on the ground, suffering from multiple attacks.

She was later found on the ground by someone who called for help. An ambulance arrived, taking her to the hospital in critical condition. Police say the woman is now in stable condition.

Authorities believe that there would be witnesses to the assault and could help investigators finding the responsible parties. They are asking people who were in the area of the 200 block of Pacific Avenue between the hours of 5:10 a.m. and 7:40 a.m. to contact investigators if they were a witness to the assault.

Witnesses are asked to call the Major Crimes Unit at (204) 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
