If you're thinking about going camping with family and friends for the long weekend, here are great tips for the best camping trip!

According to Elisabeth Ostrop from Manitoba Parks, as of May long weekend, all campgrounds will be open.

Here are the tips and things to think about if you decide to go camping:

1. Be prepared, and be warm

Make sure to be prepared for all conditions when going camping. Checking the weather beforehand and bringing warm clothes for evening and time around the campfire is a must-do any time of the year!

2. Shared space

Acknowledge that the space you're using is public space and that there are other people around you.

3. Keep the noise down after hours

From the hours of 11:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m., keep all noise levels to a minimum to not disturb others around you.

4. Clean up your campsite

After your camping trip, clean your campsite and ensure that everything you brought with you is taken back.
