21-year-old dies in collision Sunday

On Sunday at 5:30 a.m. Morris RCMP responded to a single-vehicle collision that resulted in the death of a young male.

The 21-year-old man from Rosenort, Man. was travelling northbound along Provincial Road 422, two kilometres north of Highway 23 in the RM of Morris.

Investigators have determined that the pickup truck left the roadway, entered the ditch and rolled.

The RCMP says the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police believe that speed may be a factor in the accident.

Morris RCMP and Forensic Collision Reconstructionist continue to investigate.
