21-year-old dead after shooting in cemetery

A 21-year-old is dead after being shot in a Winnipeg cemetery.

Just after 5 p.m. on Fri., Apr. 16, Winnipeg police responded to reports of shots fired at a cemetery located along McGillivray Boulevard.

A man, Hayder Hassan, was hit by gunfire. He was taken to hospital, where he later died.

The Winnipeg Police Service's homicide unit is continuing the investigation. Anyone with information about the incident that could help police is asked to call 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers.
