Nobody just raises money arbtrarily anymore. Everyone has an edge and looking to do something unique. In fact last I talked with Arvid Loewen (the marathon cyclist) he told me of at least six people who were riding bikes across Canada to raise money. So how does one stand out with so many people competing for their cause? You fend off blizzards and climb a mountain!

a God who is living and active in our lives. He speaks to us.
Sometimes it is a word of encouragement, sometimes it is a cautionary
word to slow down, but what happens when He says “Go” and the
fact that you know He said “Go” is the ONLY thing you are sure
of?

My sister called me a week after her lovely visit here over the August long weekend and mentioned that she and the kids have lice....so I thought it was time to have a chat with my friendly neighbourhood pharmacist.

World Vision and Kenya |

It was wonderful to Teriano Lesancha join me this morning. She grew up in a Maasai tribe in Kenya and because of God's hand on her life and the help of World Vision, she didn't go through with the arranged marriage that was planned for her, but instead is studying at Ryerson University in Toronto!
She is just one story of many around the world of lives that World Vision has touched. Teriano was so cute. When I told her I had spent some time in her country, at a place called Athi River, she said, "Oh, that's near my house!" Here is a picture of me with a Maasai tribe in 2006.
